Good morning I hope everyone survived the ice storm and still have power. The streets are wet but not iced over and the icy rain has stopped at least for now.
Now for a commercial – Whole Foods CEO thinks the government shouldn’t get to have a say in how or whether or not he gives his employees health care options.
I don’t shop at whole foods. I shop at Homeland which may not be as great as Whole Foods but they are a lot more in tune with workers and working families. Homeland Stores here in Oklahoma are 100% Union and most are employee owned as is United Supermarkets, which are owned by Homeland.
The Homeland Store on North May gives our 363 Group a good price on the fried chicken we purchase for our meal every 6 weeks when we feed the Homeless and working poor at the Homeless Alliance. Homeland Corporation is a sponsor and big contributor to the Annual Letter Carriers Food Drive every year. They are what good employers should be–concerned about the welfare of their employees.
